KUPANG, BERITALINGKUNGAN.COM- Six baby komodo secured by East Java Regional Police investigators will be returned to their habitat on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

“The results of coordination with Polda investigators and the East Java Center for Natural Resources Conservation (BBKSDA), six baby dragons confiscated by investigators will be brought back to their habitat,” said Head of the Destinas Division of Tourism and Creative Economy of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Eden Klakik in Kupang on Friday.
He said, he and the Regional Police Chief and Head of the East Java BBKSDA had seen the baby dragons smuggled from Flores Island directly.

The results of coordination with the East Java Regional Police and BKSD investigators, six Komodo dragons can already be brought back to NTT to be returned to their habitat, “he said.
Regarding when, he said, he would coordinate with the leadership but as soon as possible he would be brought back to NTT.
“Whether using a plane or ship, we will coordinate first, but as soon as possible will be taken home to their habitat,” he said.
The East Java Regional Police revealed the sale of 41 Komodo dragons abroad at a price of Rp. 500 million per person by a network of criminals, who have carried out such actions seven times since 2016 until 2019.
